Job Description

he City of Warrensburg is accepting applications for a Full-Time Finance Officer. This position will be responsible for high-level budgeting and financial analysis, including maintaining the general ledger and journal entries, preparation of financial statements in conformity with governmental and generally accepted account principles. The person in this role will be responsible for the supervision of one or more Full-Time employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Pay range is from $50,000 to $75,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. The City of Warrensburg offers a Full benefits package including health insurance, dental, vision plan and fully funded retirement through LAGERS. This position is non-exempt.

Minimum Requirements:

Five years of experience and/or training; or a bachelor’s degree from a university or equivalent; or combination of education and experience. Degree in business, finance, or public administration.

Preferred Training and Experience:

Eight years of related experience and/or training; master’s degree or higher.
