Kevin Bain has served as the Associate Debt Manager in the City of Detroit Treasury since February 2021. A native of the Detroit area, Kevin received a dual BBA in International Finance and BA in Comparative Literature from the University of Michigan. He pursued an investment banking career in New York on Citigroup’s Debt Capital Markets desk,working on over $100 billion of bond transactions. Before returning to Detroit,he received his Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government with a concentration in Economic Development and consulted with the World Bank on Climate Resilience and Municipal Finance projects. Kevin served as a co-chair of Harvard’s inaugural school wide Climate Conference in 2020 and now sits on the national Government Financial Officers Association’s committee on Capital Planning and Economic Development. He is the Chair of the City’s LGBTQ+ and Friends Employee Resource Group.
