Tara has been with the City of Guelph for 11 years and moved progressively through to her current role as City Treasurer and General Manager of Finance which she’s held since 2016. Tara is a Chartered Professional Accountant and has beenan active member of the GFOA Rethinking Budgeting project team since 2020. As a strategic financial leader, Tara believes that elevating financial communication and embracing digital transformation are a priority, all with a continuous improvement mindset where perfection doesn’t limit progress.
