Colin MacNaught

Colin MacNaught is the CEO & Co-Founder of BondLink, a financial technology company that provides debt management software to states, cities, and other public entities that issue bonds to fund public infrastructure. BondLink’s issuer-clients have issued approximately $500 billion in municipal bonds since first going live in 2016, and its investor network has grown to include each of the top 100 muni asset managers.

Prior to founding BondLink, Colin was an issuer and was active in the GFOA, serving as vice-chair of the Committee on Governmental Debt Management. As the Assistant State Treasurer for Debt Management for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, he was responsible for $25 billion in issuance from 2008 to 2015. During his time with the state, Massachusetts was recognized for its financing innovation, culminating in being awarded two National Deal of the Year awards from The Bond Buyer, as well as the Industry Contribution Award from the National Federation of Municipal Analysts. 

Before working for the State, Colin played professional baseball and graduated with an MPP from the Harvard Kennedy School in 2003. He’s currently a member of the advisory board for the Harris School’s Center on Municipal Finance at the University of Chicago.
