Cora Bruemmer

Cora is a senior research analyst for Nuveen’s municipal fixed income team, responsible for conducting credit analysis and providing trade recommendations. She covers the tax backed sector, primarily responsible for issuers in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, as well as the higher education sector.

Prior to joining the firm in 2024, Cora was a municipal credit analyst at S&P Global Ratings. She was the co-author of S&P’s “Methodology for Rating U.S. Governments,” which is S&P’s primary criteria for rating more than 10,000 state and local government issuers. Cora also worked as a municipal credit analyst at Moody’s Investors Service covering Midwest local governments. She began working in the investment industry in 2013. Prior to working in the investment industry, she worked as a consultant for local governments.

Cora graduated with a B.A. from the University of Rochester and an M.P.A. in Public Finance and Policy Analysis from Indiana University.
