Patricia R. Dennis, CPA

I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with over 25 years of Financial Management experience across public accounting, insurance, manufacturing, and government sectors. I served as the Controller for Renewable Water Resources (ReWa), an enterprise fund, for 12 years. During my tenure, I was responsible for managing budgets, investments, fixed assets, debt, capital project funding, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial analysis and reporting.

In November 2020, I transitioned to the role of Director of Regulatory Services at ReWa to broaden my utility knowledge and prepare for future leadership opportunities. In this capacity, I oversaw the implementation of ReWa’s Wet Weather Program and managed the Environmental, Laboratory, and Pretreatment Departments.

As of July 2023, I accepted the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the City of Greenville, SC. In this role, I oversee Budget, Accounting, Procurement, Risk Management, and Revenue, applying my financial management skills and leadership experience to support the city's fiscal health and strategic goals.

On a personal note, my husband Michael and I have been married for 22 years and have two children. Our daughter Piper recently graduated from high school and is heading to Auburn University this fall, while our 17-year-old son Charlie plays travel soccer, keeping at least half of the family busy throughout the week and most weekends. We also have a labradoodle named Scout. Outside of work, I enjoy reading and traveling.
