Kecia Dougherty is a Strategic Workforce Equity Coordinator with the City of Dubuque who has chosen to focus her Human Resources career on diversity, equity, and inclusion workshops covering such topics as privilege, building inclusive organizations, surmounting unconscious bias, using diversity metrics, developing emotional intelligence, and preventing and addressing workplace bullying. She has direct experience consulting on equitable hiring processes; analyzing data for trends; advising on the interpretation, application and revisions of policies; developing and implementing training for staff; and implementing climate surveys and following up with manager and staff relationships.
