Kim has worked in the public finance industry for over thirty years. At Piper Sandler she provides investment banking and underwriting services to a broad segment of state agencies and local governments in Texas. Kim has also served as the Executive Director of the Texas Public Finance Authority, and as Assistant Executive Director at the Municipal Advisory Council of Texas. Early in her career, she worked in GFOA's Research Center and for Government Finance Group, as a financial advisor in Arlington, VA. Kim has served on the National Executive Board of Women in Public Finance, as President of the Texas Chapter of Women in Public Finance, on the Board of the Municipal Advisory Council of Texas and as Chair of the NAST State Debt Management Network. She holds a B.A. from Rice University, an MBA from the University of Texas, and a Masters of Public Administration from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at UT Austin.
