Emily Burns is the Strategic Performance Analyst at the City of Rock Hill, South Carolina. Emily’s current role focuses on public information, strategic planning, performance evaluation, and process improvement.
Emily began her service to the City of Rock Hill in 2016 and serves and the old enterprise-wide performance analyst. She manages Rock Hill’s Strategic Plan, various strategic and process improvement projects, and works with departments to improve the efficiency of City operations. Pervious Emily worked as an Enterprise Management Analyst and a department Management Analyst at Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
Emily has a bachelor’s degree with a double major in English and Political Science, as well as a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. In 2009, Emily earned her Six Sigma Green Belt. Prior to her career in local government, Emily served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Uzbekistan. Emily continues to be involved in the community and is active with her neighborhood association and various civil groups.
