Bobby Fitzjohn

Bobby Fitzjohn joined the City in February 2019 as the Financial Services Director. Mr. Fitzjohn is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Public Finance Officer, and a Certified Local Government Finance Officer. He is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Natural Resources, a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Master of Accountancy, and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Master of Public Administration. He has also pursued additional learning opportunities through the UNC School of Government and Government Finance Officers Association. Prior to joining the city, Mr. Fitzjohn has served in senior finance roles at the City of Greensboro and the City of Winston-Salem. Mr. Fitzjohn is active in numerous professional organizations including the Government Finance Officers Association, currently serving on the GFOA’s Committee on Governmental Debt Management, the North Carolina Government Finance Officers Association and is a graduate of Leadership High Point.
