Dr. Nancy J. Gassman received her Ph.D. from the University of Miami. Her public service started with Broward County, FL working on integrated water resources planning, environmental monitoring, development of Broward County’s first Climate Change Action Plan and managing the County’s Energy and Sustainability Program.  She was an early  contributor to Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact. In January 2014, she joined the City of Fort Lauderdale where she is implementing sustainability, climate mitigation and adaptation strategies within government operations and throughout the City.
