Meredith L. Hathorn

Ms. Hathorn has served as bound counsel since 1983. Her first years were as an associate at the firm of Mudge Rose Guthrie & Alexander in New York, and she joined Foley & Judell in May of 1985. Ms. Hathorn has served as Chairman of the Government and Public Law Section of the Louisiana Bar Association and was the editor of the Government and Public Law Newsletter for the Government and Public Law Section. In addition, Ms. Hathorn served a three-year term on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Bond Lawyers (NABL) and also served as Secretary to the Board. She was also on the NABL Committee that published Model Engagement Letters. Ms. Hathorn was also appointed to the NABL TIFIA Task Force. She was also co-chair of the NABL Committee for The Functions and Professional Responsibilities of Bond Counsel. She is currently on the Board of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board. Ms. Hathorn has served as lead bond attorney for the State of Louisiana (general obligation bonds as well as transportation issues), Tulane University, Loyola University, Grambling University, Southern University, Louisiana College, Ochsner Health System, Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System, Woman’s Hospital, Louisiana Children's Medical Center, St. Tammany Parish Hospital, Slidell Memorial Hospital, Terrebonne General Medical Center, North Oaks Health System, the Louisiana Transportation Authority, the Causeway Commission, Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, the City of New Orleans, acting through the Board of Liquidation, in connection with its own bonds, and the bonds of Sewerage and Water Board, the Downtown Development District, and the Audubon Commission.
