Dr. Hei-ock Kim
Executive Director, Kim Center for Social Balance
Dr. Hei-ock Kim has devoted over a decade to nonprofit administration in the arts, environmental conservation, and social issues. She has also been a passionate educator for more than 30 years as a teacher, professor, and lecturer.
Her professional involvements include being a member of the San Diego County Commission on the Status of Women and Girls, MANA de San Diego, Women in Public Finance, and the Lawyers Club of San Diego. A frequent speaker, Hei-ock has served as a subject matter expert for KPBS Midday Edition, San Diego Grantmakers, Ashford University, Women in Public Finance, and the Lawyers Club.
After graduating from Princeton University and The Juilliard School, Hei-ock earned her doctorate in classical piano performance from The Catholic University of America. Her favorite pastimes include rock climbing, kayaking, and furniture building.
