Jessica Lamendola

Director of Administrative and Financial Services, City of Topeka, KS

Jessica Lamendola joined the City of Topeka in March 2019 as the Director of Administrative and Financial Services where she supervises the Finance Department, and is responsible for budgeting, performance management, accounting, financial reporting, contracts and procurement, debt issuance and fund management. Prior to joining the City of Topeka, Lamendola was the Director of Finance and Acting Comptroller for the Town of North Hempstead, New York. She also previously worked for Nassau County, NY coordinating their investor outreach program.

Before working in local government, Lamendola was an Assistant Vice President for Moody’s Investors Service and was responsible for a large portfolio of local government municipal issuers. Lamendola serves on the Committee on Governmental Debt Management for the GFOA and is a Board Member for the Women In Public Finance.

She has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University and a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Portland.
