Upon graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Tom began his career with the Auditor of State of Ohio as an Assistant Auditor, where he performed financial audits of school districts, cities, counties, and other taxing subdivisions. After six years with the Auditor of State, in which he was promoted to an Audit Manager, Tom accepted an Assistant Finance Director position with the City of Cleveland Heights, an inner-ring suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. After one year with the City of Cleveland Heights, he was promoted to Finance Director in which he served for five years before accepting a position as the Executive Director of the Office of Management and Budget with the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority. After deciding he wanted to get back into the municipal sector, Tom accepted the Finance Director position with the City of Brooklyn, an inner-ring suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, where he currently serves.
