Ricky Hernandez

Ricky Hernández is the Chief Financial Officer of Tucson Unified School District, leading financial operations for one of Arizona's largest school systems. With over 20 years of experience in K-12 education and nonprofit leadership, he specializes in strategic finance, operations, and organizational leadership.

A native of Nogales, AZ, he holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona and a Master's degree from Northern Arizona University and is a Certified Administrator of School Finance and Operations. He previously held leadership roles at the University of Arizona and Pima County government, where he oversaw more than $1 billion in assets.

Ricky is an active community leader. He is past president of the Arizona Association of School Business Officials, a Flinn-Brown Fellow, and currently serves on the board of directors of Vantage West Credit Union. He currently resides in Southern Arizona with his wife, their two sons, and their two dogs.
