Glenys R Salas

Glenys Salas is the Finance Director for the Town of Newtown, Connecticut, bringing nearly eight years of experience in municipal finance and a background in private-sector data analytics. Prior to Newtown, she served as Director of Budget and Fiscal Analysis for the City of Saco, Maine, where she led efforts to modernize financial systems, improve transparency, and increase capital investment.
Before entering public service, Glenys worked in marketing analytics with Unilever and a Manhattan-based agency. She now applies those data-driven skills to public finance, developing tools that enhance communication, budgetary oversight, and decision-making. Her innovative approach has helped bridge political divides and support high-quality government services.
Outside of work, Glenys enjoys adventuring in the great outdoors, traveling, and cooking with her husband and two young children.
