John Ruggini

Since 2011, John has been the City of Wauwatosa's Finance Director where he works with a great team to fight budgetary fires, unravel accounting knots and ride the treasury yield curve roller coaster. Wauwatosa is an inner-ring suburb of Milwaukee, WI with a population of 50K. "Tosa" has 500 employees and about 145 pcards with a $3 million spend. Previously John worked for Milwaukee County and GFOA and began his career as a Peace Corps volunteer. He is the lucky father of Lily, Emmy, Nadia and Theo and is happiest when he can convince them to join him for a hike or bike ride.
