Tanya Wright

Tanya is the Financial Services Officer for the Town of Gilbert, Arizona, one of the fastest-growing municipalities in the nation, where she oversees an Accounting Division of 21 professionals responsible for general accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, grants, debt management, investments, and special projects. Serving a community of approximately 300,000 residents with a budget of $1.4 billion, she functions as the senior technical financial resource for the organization.
With more than two decades of governmental accounting experience, Tanya has led major initiatives including ERP implementations, comprehensive annual financial report (ACFR) preparation, GASB standards compliance, and debt portfolio management. She has deep expertise in municipal finance, governmental accounting and reporting, treasury operations, investment management, and the Arizona regulatory environment.
Tanya holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Arizona State University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She is passionate about building high-performing teams and creating systems that strengthen organizational financial health.
