Tristan grew up in Orange County, California, where his passion for public service originated. As an Eagle Scout, Tristan experienced firsthand the value of community outreach, which would inspire him to pursue an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Arizona State University. Tristan continued his educational career by receiving his Masters in Public Administration degree from Arizona State University, which would then lead to a graduate school internship with the Arizona Governor's Office of Strategic Planning and Budgeting. As a graduate student, Tristan was able to assist the Governor's Office by providing recruitment and retention strategies and recommendations as part of a capstone project. During this tenure, Tristan developed public finance experience which would then lead him to his current position as a Budget Analyst for the Maricopa County Office of Budget and Finance. Outside of the office, Tristan enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Megan, who also works for the county.
