Fatima Yousofi is a senior officer at The Pew Charitable Trusts, where she leads research on state fiscal policy and long-term budget risks, including deferred infrastructure maintenance and climate-related financial exposure. Her work helps states better integrate risk and resilience into capital planning and public pension governance.

Previously, she was a senior legislative analyst at the Virginia Retirement System, where she helped launch and manage the state’s Line of Duty Benefits Trust Fund. She is an active member of the Government Finance Officers Association and serves on the Programming & Education Committee of the Women in Public Finance Network. Fatima holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s in public policy and administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.
