Public Transportation
Chicago has a robust public transit system. The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) L trains service the entire city with a hub and spoke layout originating downtown - commonly referred to as "The Loop" - and radiating outward.
Blue Line trains run to and from O'Hare International Airport to the Loop. Similarly, the CTA Orange line runs between Midway International Airport and the Loop. Both Blue and Orange line trains stop at the Clark and Lake Station which is directly connected to the GFOA building.
Breakfast and lunch are included in the cost for all full day in-person training. The menu varies based on the catering options, but generally consists of a continental breakfast including baked items, yogurt parfaits, coffee, juice, and tea. Lunch is either buffet style or individually catered sandwiches, wraps, or similar.
If you have specific dietary requirements (allergies, kosher, halal, vegan, etc.) please contact GFOA so we can accommodate you.
Attendees are free to explore Chicago on nights off during multi-day courses.
Condé Nast Traveler magazine has voted Chicago the Best Big City in the U.S. for eight years in a row. There's no shortage of things to see and do while you're here.
