I learned about several subject areas with which I did not have prior experience.

I earned the CPFO certification relatively early in my career. I believe that the certification set me apart. Being a CPA has been helpful. However, the additional CPFO credential has enhanced my expertise in a way that is specific to government finance.
4. What would you say to others thinking about becoming a CPFO?
