Why did you want to become a CPFO?
Becoming a CPFO has been a professional goal of mine since I first began my career in Local Government in 2015. Now as a consultant to various types of Local Governments, I believe that becoming a CPFO shows my commitment to understanding the variety of complex issues that my clients face every day.
What did you learn going through the process?
The process helped my understanding of the various Financial touchpoints Local Government finance professionals have to interact with.
How has becoming a CPFO made an impact on you in your profession or how do you hope it will make an impact?
I hope that becoming a CPFO will allow me to better serve and understand my Local Government clients and their finance teams.
What would you say to others thinking about becoming a CPFO?
If you have even the slightest interest in Local Government finance, the process of becoming a CPFO is incredibly well rounded and eye-opening to how complicated Local Government finance can be.
