DOT Announces $1 Billion in Grants Available
On April 13, the Department of Transportation published a Notice of Funding Opportunity to apply for $1 billion in discretionary grant funding for the 2021 fiscal year. Formerly known as TIGER & BUILD, the first round of Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) grants will make available up to $25 million for qualifying applicants. Administered by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), this discretionary grant program has awarded over $8 billion nationwide for rail, road, port and transit projects that have a significant regional impact, since 2009.
