• Revamped financial audit process, which enabled the completion ahead of deadlines; increased credit rating through asset liability management; led accounting transformation to streamline processes; launched new implementation to replace obsolete ERP system; and introduced co-sourced staffing to quickly activate new governmental programs
• Named Crain’s 2023 Notable CFO
• Named 2022 “CFO of the Year” Finalist – Financial Executives International Chicago Chapter
• Involved with local community organizations including Chinese American Service League (current board member) and Midwest Asian Health Association
• Past board member of the following Chicago organizations: The Friends of Downtown, Near South Planning Board, and West Loop Gate Organization

Goals for GFOA

College and high school students in large numbers are seeking internships and co-ops. Many schools are seeking to provide work experience for their students. GFOA should expand scholarships because offering governmental career experiences at early stages will create more candidates in the future.
