• Member of GFOA’s Executive Board since 2020; serves on GFOA's Committee on Canadian Issues and GFOA’s Scholarships Committee
• Served as moderator for the Canadian Update at GFOA’s Annual Conference in 2018

Contributions to the Profession/Jurisdiction

• Facilitated Mayor and Council strategic priority session
• Served on regional team that negotiated a landmark tri party memorandum of understanding between the District of Lake Country, a neighboring municipality Kelowna and the Okanagan Indian Band to address servicing and development of collective lands
• Instructor, presenter, and mentor of “The Successful CAO” at Capilano University, Municipal Administration Training Institute from 2022 to present
• Group member of the Union of British Columbia Municipalities Technical Review Work Group from 2022 to present
• Served on GFOABC Board of Directors from 2013 to 2019 (treasurer in 2016; served two terms as president in 2017 and 2018)
• Speaker and moderator at GFOABC training courses and annual conferences
• Author of articles for the GFOABC quarterly newsletter

Goals for GFOA

GFOA should develop programs to promote diversity and inclusion in both the profession and the workplace. Assisting governments in creating safe places for people to bring their authentic selves to work welcomes a greater breadth and depth into candidate pools. Communities can better be served by municipal staff that reflect the diversity of the population in that community.
