GFOA currently offers five types of scholarships. Students interested in future scholarship opportunities should keep in mind the following:
Eligibility for scholarship awards:
- Citizen or permanent resident of the United States or Canada
- Plan to pursue a career in state/provincial or local government finance
- Student has not been a past winner of a GFOA scholarship.

Applications for the 2023 academic scholarships are closed. Please check back in the fall for information on 2024 academic scholarships.

GFOA offers 11 scholarships ranging from $5,000 to $20,000.
GFOA has announced the recipients of its 2022 scholarships. These scholarships total $105,000.
