Gina Rackley

“Gina Rackley is a native Nevadan committed to serving, improving, and mentoring her community, county, and state,” described fellow comptroller Kathy Workman from White Pine County, Nevada. With more than three decades of government experience, Gina began her career in the City of Winnemucca Clerk/Treasurer Office before moving to Humboldt County in 1999, where she now serves as comptroller after ten years as county treasurer. She led statewide efforts to enhance financial systems, including chairing a software task force that helped replace a legacy system used by most of Nevada’s local governments. Gina serves on the Governor-appointed Committee on Local Government Finance and provides guidance to peers through her involvement with the County Fiscal Officers Association, the Nevada Public Agency Insurance Pool, and the Government Investment Officers of America. This year she was recognized by the Nevada Taxpayers Association for her contributions to assisting local governments across the state.  Gina actively supports the professional growth of finance professionals across Nevada—often saying simply, “You’ve got this.”
