Assistant to the Finance Director
The Village of Sussex is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented person to serve as an integral member of the Village’s Finance team. The primary responsibilities of this position include maintaining Village financial documents (such as vendor invoices, receipt documentation, and journal entries) and managing the Village’s Accounts Payable system. The Assistant to the Finance Director assists in the preparation of the annual audit, provides oversight of utility bill and ambulance bill collection system, and works with the Clerk's Office to successfully oversee cash management operations and the corresponding financial reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum qualifications for this position include five years of experience in accounting or financial management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and the ability to efficiently operate a computer and office equipment and have an understanding of generally accepted accounting principals and practices.
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
The midpoint starting annual salary $80,188, with actual salary dependent on experience and qualifications.
