Chief Financial Officer - Be a part of the team that provides affordable housing opportunities to New Mexicans statewide. New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority (MFA) has an opening for a Chief Financial Officer. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a member of MFA’s senior management team and is responsible for all activities of the Finance Division which includes the Finance, Accounting and Servicing Departments. The CFO will ensure fiscal accountability through the integrity and validity of financial data and reporting, including compliance with all applicable regulations, by applying principles of public finance, accounting, mortgage servicing and management. The CFO will oversee and analyze policy, economic and financial initiatives, provide various reports and presentations, and facilitate the efficient processing of division functions. The CFO also works to establish credibility within MFA, with the Board of Directors and throughout the community introducing new programs, strategies and developing solutions to business challenges.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or other related discipline; advanced degree preferred. CPA preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ten years of experience in the financial services industry or public finance; 12 or more years preferred. Management experience required.
