Job Description

The League of Minnesota Cities (LMC) supports the elected and appointed officials and staff of its member cities through advocacy, education and training, policy development, and other services. League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust (LMCIT) is separate legal entity from LMC. LMCIT is a trusted provider that comprehensively addresses cities’ risk management needs by offering robust coverage for property, liability, auto, and workers' compensation.

LMCIT is seeking a Deputy Administrator to provide leadership, make executive decisions, implement directives, and provide support to the staff, LMCIT Administrator, and League’s Insurance Trust Board. This position oversees the Loss Control and Operations Management functions to ensure the effectiveness and responsiveness of loss control services and programs in reducing member risk over time and maintaining a high level of member satisfaction.

The starting salary for the new LMCIT Deputy Administrator will be market competitive, with a starting salary range of $180,000 to $200,000, depending on qualifications. The position requires the education and experience equivalent to either a law degree or master’s degree in business administration, risk management, public administration, economics, public policy, or a related field; and at least six years of progressively responsible experience in local government or professional experience managing insurance programs.
