Description

Guilford County is seeking an experienced professional to perform supervisory and highly technical accounting and financial control work assisting in the direction of the Finance Department.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in accounting, finance, business administration or related field and four years of experience in the planning and management of fiscal activities and accounting systems including two years of supervisory experience. CPA required.

Preferred Qualifications

Supervisory experience in a local government accounting environment with broad range of operational responsibilities. Managerial experience in government accounting operations requiring compliance with North Carolina General Statutes. Certified Public Finance Officer or North Carolina Certified Local Government Finance Officer credentials are preferred for this position.
