Job Description

Our client, the Oregon State Treasury (OST) is seeking an experienced public finance professional to fill the important role of Deputy Director, Debt Management.

Based in Salem, Oregon, OST prioritizes investing for the long term, doing business the right way, and empowering Oregonians to invest in themselves. The primary purpose of this position is to manage all aspects of debt issuance for select state agencies that are managed by Oregon State Treasury’s Debt Management Division and to provide oversight for certain conduit and local government issuances. This position is also responsible for ensuring issuance compliance with Oregon Laws and the laws and regulations governing the issuance of municipal securities as well as certain management functions of OST.

The Deputy Director, Debt Management reports to the Director, Debt Management and will be responsible for leading a staff of three that manages all aspects of debt management including ensuring issuance compliance and governing regulations of municipal securities. This position will have the option to work a hybrid schedule with occasional time in the OST’s offices in Salem, as necessary.
