Lead Operational Excellence as FCERA's Deputy Retirement Administrator

The Fresno County Employees' Retirement Association (FCERA) is seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking professional to serve as Deputy Retirement Administrator—a pivotal leadership role supporting a $7.3 billion pension system that serves more than 21,800 members across multiple agencies.

As a key member of FCERA's executive team, the Deputy Retirement Administrator oversees the Operations Division, which includes Accounting, Information Technology, and Communications. This role partners closely with the Retirement Administrator and the Board of Retirement to ensure transparency, accountability, and exceptional service to members. The ideal candidate brings expertise in financial oversight, business systems, and strategic management, with a passion for leading teams, modernizing operations, and driving efficiency.

This is a unique opportunity to guide critical initiatives, including implementing new financial controls, advancing digital transformation, strengthening cybersecurity, and enhancing member communications — all while contributing to FCERA's mission of delivering secure retirements and exceptional service.

The Deputy Retirement Administrator position is compensated based on a six-step pay structure, ensuring competitive and equitable salary progression. Historically, new County employees are brought in at the first step of the pay structure. The expected hiring salary for this position is $143,546.
