This is a full performance level managerial. Manages the Financial Analysis, Audit and Compliance Section (FAAC), within the Division of Controller. The FAAC Section is responsible for the monitoring and auditing of financial transactions on an enterprise-wide basis to prevent and detect errors and fraud and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies and internal control requirements. and is responsible for supervising staff assigned to this Section, ensures that financial analysis are performed as needed for accurate reporting, financial transactions are properly monitored for compliance.
Responsible for managing the structure, method, quality of forensic and financial analysis performed to ensure accurate accounting and recording of transactions. Position supervises staff that monitor departments procure-to-pay transactions, payroll transactions and AR transactions for compliance with existing County policy, laws, and regulations. Position requires attending frequent meetings with department staff, County and other organizations as needed to achieve objectives of ensuring accurate accounting and adequate control monitoring.
This position requires the ability to attend meetings or perform work at locations outside the office.
Experience: Five years progressively responsible professional experience in a financial accounting, auditing, or business administration field.
Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree.
Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education/experience may be substituted.
