Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Coral Gables operates under a commission/manager form of government and is well known for its active and involved citizenry. The Management & Budget Analyst II is responsible for complex and technical work in the preparation and maintenance of the City budget, financial reports and related documents. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with the design, implementation and monitoring of performance indicators; reimplementation and monitoring of the Strategic Management Plan; assisting in the preparation of the annual budget and Capital Improvement Plan (CIP); projecting revenues and expenditures; creating audit reports; designing and preparing graphs using Microsoft products (or similar); assisting with researching and applying for grants; tracking and monitoring grants; and providing budgetary/technical support to departments and Finance Department staff. Must be able to exercise initiative and independent judgment.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field.
- Minimum three (3) years of budget/finance analysis experience; municipal experience preferred.
- Any appropriate combination of relevant education and/or experience may be considered. The requirement of a Bachelor's Degree may be waived if a candidate possesses exceptional/significant experience in the budget/finance field.
- Valid Driver's License.
