Job Description
Essential functions may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assists the Budget & Fiscal Manager in developing, justifying, and presenting the biennial operating and capital budgets to the County Commissioners and the public.
- Prepares, interprets, and analyzes a variety of information, data and reports, work papers, communications, schedules, and/or statements to and from internal departments, external agencies, and/or other applicable organizations and makes recommendations based on findings.
- Develops, analyzes, and modifies computerized financial models and prepares financial report.
- Analyzes changes in operating or capital fund balances and prepares comprehensive reports on the financial condition of all operating and capital funds and recommends solutions to identified problems.
- Supports department and office budget staff in the development of operating and capital budgets.
- Reviews department and office operating, and capital budgets, recommends budget allowances, is a subject matter expert.
- Ensures applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, and policies are adhered to.
- Cultivate inclusive and respectful working relationships that support a sense of belonging for all employees and community members.
- Communicate and use interpersonal skills to interact with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc., to sufficiently exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
- Maintains effective working relationships with department staff and the general public.
