Laurie Grigg

Laurie Grigg, controller and chief financial officer at Madison Area Technical College, has worked to strengthen the college’s finances since 2015, support student well-being, and advance its mission. She has encouraged student-focused involvement across the Finance team, helping with food security efforts through work in the College Garden and volunteering at the student food pantry. She also led a drive to collect and deliver supplies for students in need. Executive Vice President Sylvia Ramirez recognized, “Laurie demonstrates integrity daily by insisting on doing what is right for our students, our community, and the finance field, rather than what is easiest.” This nomination reflects testimonials from multiple team members who admire Laurie’s approachable demeanor, ethics, and commitment to giving back.
