Marie Dennis

Marie Dennis has worked at the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority since 2015, serving in roles from finance manager to her current position as deputy chief financial officer. She has helped sustain the Authority’s more than forty-year streak of receiving GFOA's Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting and led efforts that resulted in its first Distinguished Budget Presentation Award in 2018 and the GFOA Triple Crown Award in 2023. Marie played a major role in securing three credit rating upgrades during the Authority’s most recent bond transaction. Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer Kathleen Sharman observed, “She was someone I immediately recognized as a rising star,” crediting Marie’s growth and contributions with shaping the department’s success. In addition, Marie oversees multiple departments, mentors staff, and promotes cross-department coordination.
