“Marie is the rock of the finance department, and I am happy to take this opportunity to nominate her for her five years of service to the City of Mequon,” said Director of Finance Brenda Arnett. Serving as acting finance director from May to July 2024, Marie has become a reliable source of knowledge and support across departments—stepping in to handle everything from payroll and utility billing to budget preparation, audit coordination, and customer inquiries. Known for her consistency and thoroughness, she manages daily and monthly reconciliations, tax collection, and investment monitoring while helping guide new staff. A believer in ongoing education, Marie continues to expand her skills while encouraging the growth of her team.
