Maryjane Malavasi

Maryjane Malavasi brings energy, motivation, and versatility to her roles—whether serving as director of finance in Guilford, elected treasurer in East Haddam, or treasurer of the Connecticut GFOA for the past eight years. Under her financial stewardship, the Town of Guilford has kept an AAA credit rating. In each of her positions, she is known for her hands-on approach and her willingness to contribute wherever needed. She also volunteers her time with the Lions Club and the TPC River Highlands Golf Tournament and plays an active role on the Connecticut GFOA Conference Committee, where she helps welcome and connect professionals. Her colleague Kimberly Lord, director of finance, Town of Manchester, stated: “Her commitment to fostering professional connections and enhancing the conference experience demonstrates her passion for the field and her unwavering support for her peers.”
