Fellowship Program Helps Governments Receive Triple Crown

GFOA's Triple Crown recognizes governments who have received GFOA's Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, Popular Annual Financial Reporting Award, and the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award. The following localities recently received the recognition by participating in GFOA’s PAFR Fellowship Program:

  • City of Brookfield, Wisconsin
  • Knox County, Tennessee
  • City of Pearland, Texas

The fellowship program, through a partnership with Engaging Local Government Leaders (ELGL), paired graduate level interns with governments looking to create a popular annual financial report (PAFR). The fellows were John Andreau Sutterby, UNC-Chapel Hill (City of Brookfield), Daisy Calixtro, UNC-Chapel Hill (Knox County), and Breanna Higgins, Texas State University (City of Pearland). Applications for the winter 2021 PAFR Fellowship Program are open. The deadline to apply is January 31.
