Summary
Performs advanced accounting and financial support functions for Denton County ESD No. 1. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting budget preparation and monitoring, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with applicable governmental accounting standards and District policies. Works closely with the Support Services Chief and administrative leadership to ensure transparency, accuracy, and accountability in the management of public funds. This position is classified as an Accountant II / Specialist-level role and operates under the direction of the Support Services Chief. The position does not include supervisory responsibility but may provide technical guidance to support staff.
