The Accounting Manager maintains the general ledger, performs monthly bank reconciliations along with other reconciliations, coordinates the annual audit and prepares year-end accruals, maintains fixed assets and subsidiary ledger records, keeps numerous revenue schedules, generates monthly financial reports, assists with budget preparation and grant reports/applications. The Accounting Manager supports the Utility Billing and Accounts Payable Fiscal Assistants and the Finance Management Analyst and serves as a backup for payroll functions and Treasury Management.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required with 2-4 years of accounting experience desired. Supervisory experience a plus. This position’s salary range is $67,474- $100,552.59 with excellent benefits.

You will receive 2 personal days, 12 holidays, 12 days of paid sick leave, and 10 days of vacation annually. Full-time employees have their choice of HMO or PPO medical coverage, dental, and an optional vision coverage plan. The Village pays 80% of the insurance premium, with the remainder paid by the employee. Employees are also enrolled in a Life Insurance and AD&D policy providing $50,000 in coverage, paid entirely by the Village. Full-time employees are required to participate in Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF), a defined pension plan. Employees are also given the option to participate in the following: participation in the IMRF Voluntary Additional Contribution (VAC) fund, MissionSquare (457 plan), supplemental life insurance, and flexible spending accounts for health and dependent care. The Village also offers a Retirement Health Savings Plan through MissionSquare.
