Tri-County Health Department – Full Time/Long Term Temporary Position

Promote, protect and improve the lifelong health of individuals and communities in Adams, Arapahoe and Douglas Counties through the effective use of data, evidence-based prevention strategies, leadership, advocacy, partnerships and the pursuit of health equity. In short, we strive to provide optimal health across the lifespan for the populations we serve.

What you will do:

This is a long term temporary position hired by a third party vendor with possibility of future hire by TCHD. Performs professional level accounting duties and maintenance of grant financial statements and reports. Monitors and reviews grant payroll accounting and related grant reports. Calculates grant/program indirect allocations. Reviews monthly revenue billing and invoices as it pertains to grants. Meets regularly with program managers to review grant status. May assist auditors in the preparation and resolution of the annual audit on grant information. Performs special accounting studies and prepares ad hoc reports as requested.

Requirements you will need:

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in accounting, business administration or a related field and five to seven years professional level grant accounting experience preferably in fund or governmental accounting.

Special Qualifications:

Extensive experience with principals and procedures of accounting following GAAP, specifically fund and governmental accounting.

Salary Range:
$26-$32/hour
