Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the successful candidate is responsible for performing a wide variety of accounting and fiscal duties. The Authority consists of three employees who are responsible for administering a thirty-year transportation program funded with $180 million per year in sales tax and development fee revenues.
The incumbent is a seasoned, hands-on professional with at least five-years of applicable governmental experience in accounting, budgeting, auditing, and debt program management. The incumbent must be able to work well with program partners and be comfortable in preparing and presenting staff reports before the Authority's sixteen-member Governing Board.
The Authority is located in high-quality office space in downtown Sacramento where restaurants and the State Capitol are nearby. The position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work remotely some of the time.
The Authority offers excellent benefits including up to 7.1 hours of vacation and 4.6 hours of sick leave per two-week pay period. In addition, the Authority observes 13 paid holidays, offers a generous cafeteria plan for health insurance, and fully paid vision and dental insurance for employees and their families. The Authority's retirement plan with CalPERS is 2.5%@55 for classic members and 2%@62 for PEPRA members.
