What we mean by inclusion: The act of creating environments in which any individual or group can be and feel welcomed, respected, supported, and valued to fully participate and bring their full, authentic selves to our profession.  An inclusive and welcoming climate embraces differences and offers respect in the words/actions/thoughts of all people. 

Inclusion Commitment: We commit to making GFOA and the government finance profession a place where all are respected and welcome. We hope to inspire our residents, colleagues and members to create feelings of belonging in their workplaces and communities. As a collective, we will seek out and listen to diverse voices to inform policies and services that reflect the needs of those we serve.
