Assistant Director of Finance, City of Terrell, TX
The City of Terrell seeks a hands-on accounting professional to serve as Assistant Director of Finance. Reporting to the Finance Director, this role leads daily accounting operations, oversees utility billing, and supports financial reporting, audits, and system improvements, including implementation of a new utility billing system.
This position is a key operational partner, ensuring accuracy, strong internal controls, and consistent processes. Ideal candidates bring governmental accounting experience (preferred), knowledge of GAAP/GASB, and a detail-oriented, process-driven approach. ERP experience (Tyler Munis preferred) a plus.
