Public Health – Seattle and King County is one of the largest metropolitan health departments in the United States with 40 sites, a biennial budget of $800 million, and over 1400 employees. The department provides a wide range of services with multiple funding streams including federal, state, local, and private. With the strong support of local and state leaders, it has been a leader in the region in the response to COVID-19.
The CFO works with teams across the department on achieving their strategic objectives in a complex financial environment. The position excels at helping solve business and strategic challenges through ensuring the right financial information is available and providing potential solutions that reflect the department’s established risk appetite. The CFO sets the direction and standards for effective financial management across the department’s operating divisions and collaborates with colleagues from across the department to create business practices that reflect the County’s commitment to equity and social justice.
